Overview
Puial de l Douro is set in the Douro International Natural Park, in Aldeia Nova, a 5-minute drive from the historic town of Miranda do Douro and the Spanish border. Free parking and WiFi are available. This restored building of traditional architecture with granite walls offers air-conditioned rooms with views of the Douro landscape and the parish church. Each room has a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast with homemade and regional products is served every morning. There is a wine cellar where guests can taste the produce of the owner's vineyards and other wines from the region. Puial de l Douro is adapted for guests with reduced mobility; there is a shared lounge with a fireplace and a library where you can learn more about the local Mirandese language. Outside there is a spacious terrace where you can relax and enjoy the peace of nature. Bicycles are provided free of charge, and donkey riding and birdwatching are available. On request and with advance booking, guests can take part in farm work, guided tours of the region and Mirandese language sessions.
